Senior Night Ends with Big Win Over Alaska

LACEY, Wash. – The Saint Martin's men's basketball team celebrated seven seniors Saturday night and sent them home with a win in their final home game at Marcus Pavilion. The Saints defeated Alaska Fairbanks 86-67.

All of the seniors except for Markus Lenker scored, but Lenker did pull down three rebounds. Tyke Thompson nearly notched a double-double and even a triple-double with nine points, seven assists, and 11 boards and Kyle Greeley was right there with him with nine points and nine rebounds. Nathaniel Stokes had four points and three rebounds, while seniors Josh Camper and Brycen Dillworth, who have seen limited time on the floor in their careers at Saint Martins, were able to electrify the crowd when they each came in and knocked down a three in the dying minutes. Shakeem Alcindor had seven points and six rebounds, and played a part to make the highlight of the night when he threw down a dunk off the backboard on a crafty alley-oop from Jaden Nielsen-Skinner, one of six assists for Skinny.

Defense was the theme of the night with the Saints going up 19-2 to start the game, and forcing 13 turnovers in the first 10 minutes.
