KANSAS CITY, MO — Saint Martin's University Men's Basketball continues to earn honors from the 2023-2024 season as the National Association of Basketball Coaches awarded multiple players and the team as a whole for their efforts on the court and in the classroom.
Nine individuals were named to the NABC Honors Court—the most of any team in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.
Kyle Greeley, who was named to the 2023-2024 Men's Basketball First Team All-Conference, was among those to be nominated to the NABC Honors Court for his efforts in the Business Administration program.
Marcel Stevens,
Myles Samuels, and
Nathaniel Stokes joined Greeley on the court and in the classroom, as they were also nominated for their performance in business curriculum. Second Team All-Conference memberÂ
Tyke Thompson was named to the Honor Roll for his performance in the Education Department, while
Brycen Dillworth,
Cory Schramm,
Josh Camper, and
Marcus Lenker were also rewarded for their efforts in the classroom.Â
The team as a whole also received a NABC Team Academic Excellence Award for completing the academic year with an impressive 3.39 team GPA, making it the fourth consecutive year of earning such honors. Head Coach
Aaron Landon and his staff put an emphasis on training their team to not only succeed on the court, but in all areas of their experience as a collegiate student-athlete, and earning so many accolades from such a prestigious association is proof of their continued efforts as coaches and mentors. Landon had nothing but praise for his athletes and emphasized how they, ultimately, solidify the culture of the basketball program.
"This is a wonderful honor and I'm very proud that our program has sustained such a high standard of academic excellence for the last few years. Having nine players named to the NABC Honors Court is an incredible accomplishment, we couldn't be prouder of our guys and the culture they've created at Saint Martin's."
