BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The Saint Martin's Men's Soccer team started off GNAC play with a 4-0 loss at Western Washington on Thursday, October 2.
An early goal for the Vikings put the Saints behind early, and despite four shot attempts, Saint Martin's was unable to make up any ground in the 4-0 defeat. The loss moved SMU's GNAC record to 0-1.
How It Happened
- The Saints fell behind 1-0 in the fourth minute, behind a goal from Jose Perez, unassisted.
- SMU tallied two shots in the first half, but a 31st-minute goal by Perez put Western Washington up 2-0 at halftime.
- The Saints conceded two additional goals in the second half, off the foot of Albin Jonsson and Joar Tidblom.
