NAMPA, Idaho — The Saint Martin's Baseball team went 1-3 at Northwest Nazarene this weekend, ending the series with an 8-4 victory behind a huge seventh-inning rally
The Saints held a late lead heading into the ninth inning of game three and fought back from a 4-0 deficit in game four. The series moved the Saints' season record to 11-32 overall and 3-21 in GNAC play.
Game 1: Saint Martin's 3, Northwest Nazarene 15
- The Saints scored first to open the series, as Carson Dunn crushed a home run to left center field that scored Kelton Tom and Evan Nicol to give Saint Martin's a 3-0 lead in the top of the second.
- The lead held for the Saints until the Nighthawks scored two runs in each of the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings.
- One more run in the seventh by NNU put the Saints behind 7-3, before a massive eight-run eighth inning by Northwest Nazarene tilted the game to 15-3. The Saints totaled seven hits, but were unable to score any additional runs after the Carson Dunn home run.

Game 2: Saint Martin's 0, Northwest Nazarene 8
- In the bottom of the second, NNU took a 1-0 lead off a groundout that scored a run.
- The Nighthawks added three runs in the bottom of the third and two in the bottom of the fourth to extend the lead to 6-0. NNU added one run in each of the fifth and sixth innings to take a 8-0 victory. The Saints were limited to two hits.

Game 3: Saint Martin's 5, Northwest Nazarene 6
- Game three was scoreless through the first three and a half innings, before the Nighthawks drew a walk with the bases loaded to go up 1-0.
- The Saints responded in the top of the fifth, as Spencer Siegel singled to score Kelton Tom and level the game at 1-1.
- Saint Martin's pulled ahead in the top of the sixth, as a throwing error by the Nighthawks led to Bransyn Hong and Alohi Arecchi scoring for the Saints to build a 3-1 lead.
- Nikki Scott II kept the Saints in contention on the mound, throwing 6.1 innings and allowing one run. He struck out 10 batters and earned his 100th career strikeout during the start.
- Later in the top of the eighth inning, Peter Hollabaugh reached on an error that allowed Evan Nicol to score, extending the Saints' lead to 4-1.
- In the bottom of the eighth inning, NNU scored two runs off a sacrifice groundout and an RBI single, pulling within 4-3.
- An RBI single from Bransyn Hong in the top of the ninth scored Noah Albanese and put the Saints ahead 5-3.
- The Nighthawks loaded the bases with no outs in the bottom of the ninth, before a three-RBI double by Kyle Becker won the game for Northwest Nazarene on a walk-off, with a 6-5 final score.

Game 4: Saint Martin's 8, Northwest Nazarene 4
- The Nighthawks built a 4-0 lead after scoring one run off a triple in the first inning and three runs in the third off an RBI single and two-RBI double.
- Heading into the fifth inning down 4-0, the Saints fought back to even the score at 4-4 behind a big two-out rally.
- The Saints held the Nighthawks scoreless down the stretch, as the Saints went into the seventh inning tied at 4-4.
- A huge rally saw Saint Martin's jump ahead 8-4, as Noah Albanese singled to score Jackson Upton and Brendan Haverlock, and Kyle Schabot later singled to score Noah Albanese and Ethan Akagi.
- Peter Hollabaugh held the Nighthawks scoreless in the final inning, securing an 8-4 victory for Saint Martin's to close out the series.
