Saints Women’s Soccer defeated 3-0 at Northwest Nazarene

NAMPA, Idaho — The Saint Maritn's Women's Soccer team was defeated 3-0 at Northwest Nazarene on Thursday, September 24.

The loss dropped the Saints' record to 1-6-1 overall and 0-3-0 in GNAC play.

How It Happened

  • Northwest Nazarene held an 11-2 advantage in shots in the first half, and capitalized in the ninth minute with an unassisted goal from Lucy Bergford.
  • The Nighthawks doubled the first-half lead to 2-0 in the 20th minute, with Attie Jo Westbrook scoring unassisted.
  • Taegan Saragosa-Deocares tallied a shot on goal in the first half, but the Saints went into the halftime break trailing 2-0.
  • In the second half, Leah Kalal and Taegan Saragosa-Deocares recorded shots on goal for the Saints, but the team was unable to find the back of the net.
  • The Nighthawks scored a goal in the 69th minute, extending the lead to 3-0.
