Dan Bower joined the Saint Martin's Baseball staff in July of 2026 as the program's recruiting coordinator. He also serves as the Saints' infield coach.
Prior to joining Saint Martin's, Bower spent the 2026 season at Washington State University, where he helped guide the Cougars to their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2010 after winning the Mountain West Conference Tournament Championship. Washington State finished with 31 wins, a 13-win improvement from the previous season, and placed second in the conference after being picked near the bottom of the preseason coaches' poll. Bower served as the team's outfield coach and first base coach while assisting with hitters and playing a key role in the program's recruiting efforts.
During the summer of 2025, Bower served as the hitting coach for the Battle Creek Battle Jacks of the Northwoods League, where he also worked with the team's infielders and outfielders.
Before Washington State, Bower spent three seasons at Centralia College under current Saint Martin's Head Coach Ben Harley as the associate head coach and recruiting coordinator. In addition to coordinating recruiting, he served as the team's hitting coach, third base coach, and outfield coach. During his tenure, Centralia posted its first winning season since 2010, recorded back-to-back winning seasons for the first time in more than 30 years, set the program's single-season wins record in 2024, and advanced to its deepest postseason run in more than 20 years during the 2025 season.
Prior to Centralia, Bower spent two seasons on former Major League Baseball All-Star Chris Sabo's staff at the University of Akron, where he coached the outfielders, worked with the hitters, and served as the team's first base coach. He began his collegiate coaching career as a volunteer assistant at Cuyahoga Community College during the 2020 season, working with the outfielders, hitters, and first base responsibilities.
Throughout his coaching career, Bower has helped develop five position players who have gone on to play professional baseball in the independent ranks. He also discovered his passion for coaching through the youth game, previously coaching with the Cleveland Whitecaps, Force Ohio, and the Cleveland Jr. RBI Program.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Bower earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Business Economics from Ohio University before receiving his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law.
