Saint Martins Athletics

Gueye is in his first season as an assistant coach with the Saint Martin's men's basketball team.

Prior to his arrival this winter, Gueye spent the past eight years playing overseas. He began his professional career in France with Orleans for the 2006-07 season. He spent the past three seasons (2010-14) in Belgium.

During the 2009-10 season he served as an assistant coach under current SMU head coach Michael Ostlund at Snow College.

Gueye was born in Dakar, Senegal and played basketball at Salt Lake Community College from 2001-03 before moving on to the University of Hawaii where he played from 2003-05. Gueye graduated in 2005 with a degree in sports management and fitness.
