Ticket Information - SMU students get in free to all SMU home games with a valid student ID card and tickets are available for only six dollars. Seniors/Military/Non-SMU Students get in for four dollars. Children under the age of 11 get in free. Tickets can be purchased at the door or by calling Abbey Bergquist at 360-438-4305.
 
Chavez Carries Saints To Overtime Victory Over Seattle Pacific – With the Saints trailing by 12 in the second half, Luke Chavez put the game on his back and carried SMU to an 80-76 overtime victory over Seattle Pacific with 26 second half points. The Saints (19-6, 12-5) switched to a zone defense to take away the Falcons' (14-10, 9-8) offensive momentum in the second half, slowly trimming the lead to a tie and forcing overtime. Chavez scored eight of the Saints' 11 overtime points to lead Saint Martin's one game to closer a berth in the GNAC Championships.
 
Saints Clinch Berth In GNAC Championships With 20th Victory – A strong defensive outing, along with 13 made 3-pointers, lifted the Saints to a 77-60 victory over Montana State Billings to clinch their 20th win of the season, and a spot in the GNAC Championships. For the second straight year, the Saint Martin's Saints (20-6, 13-5) have earned a seed in the GNAC Championships, after defeating Montana State Billings (13-15, 5-12) on the road. The Saints also reached the 20-win mark for the first time since the 2008-09 season, in which SMU finished with 22 victories.
 
Saint Martin's Heading Back To GNAC Championships – With their victory over Montana State Billings last week, the Saints' clinched their second straight berth to the GNAC Championships. Held in Anchorage, Alaska, March 1-3, the Saints can still reach the two seed is SMU wins both games this week and Western Washington drops both. However, the Saints cannot fall past the three seed.
 
SMU Receives Votes In National Poll – Following 10 wins in their last 11 games, including a win over Seattle Pacific and a road victory against Montana State Billings, the Saints received a vote in the National Association of Basketball Coaches' Poll on Tuesday.
 
Saints Fall One Spot In Regional Poll Despite Two Wins – The Saints remained in the top eight for the NCAA West Regional, but fell one spot despite winning both their games last week. Eight teams are selected to form the NCAA West Regional in March, three from AQ and five by selection. Selection show is Sunday, March 4.
 
Luke Chavez Back-To-Back GNAC Player Of The Week In January – Receiving the award for back-to-back weeks and the third time this season, Chavez powered the Saints to road victories over No. 16 Western Washington and Simon Fraser. Chavez averaged 21.5 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 3.5 apg, and 1.5 spg, while shooting a blazing 56.7 percent from the field and 42.8 percent beyond the arc. Starting the week off against No. 16 Western Washington, who was undefeated in GNAC play, Chavez led all scorers with 23 points, along with seven rebounds and three assists. He followed up the performance with a 20-point, three rebounds, and four assists outing against Simon Fraser 
 
Alex Pribble Earns 50th Career Victory At Concordia – With the 71-58 victory over Concordia on Thursday, Feb 8, head coach Pribble picked up his 50th career victory. Pribble hit the mark in only 82 games in his third year at the helm of the program.
 
Saints Reach 20-win Mark – With their road victory over Montana State Billings, 77-60, last week, the Saints clinched their 20th victory of the season. Only the second time in program's history, since joining the NCAA in 1998, have the Saints reached 20-wins. The first came during the 2008-09 campaign when the Saints finished with 22 wins.  
 
EJ Boyce Leads ConferenceEJ Boyce leads the GNAC in 3-pointers made per game at 3.1 by knocking down 81 shots beyond the arc in 26 games.  His 45.5 3-point field goal percentage is 5th best in the conference. On the year, Boyce is averaging 11.7 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 2.7 apg, 0.7 spg in 31.6 minutes per game.     
 
Tavian Henderson Leads ConferenceTavian Henderson leads the GNAC in field goal percentage at 74.8 percent. He has connected on 92 of his 123 shot attempts, while shooting a perfect 1.000 percent in nine games. Henderson is averaging 8.1 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 1.3 apg, while playing 22.7 minutes per game.     
 
Chavez Named Saint Of The Month – Every month, Saint Martin's names one male and one female athlete Saint of the Month. Chavez earned his second award after being named GNAC Player of the Week back-to-back times and averaged 17.8 ppg, 5.6 rpg, and 3.9 apg while shooting 49.5 percent from the field in the month of January.  
 
Northwest Nazarene Preview – The Saints suffered their worst loss of the season to NNU in their meeting, 92-67; however, the Nighthawks have faltered in the standings, now at 12-12 overall and 8-10 in GNAC action since then.  The Saints will have to stop the conference second leading scorer and second top rebounder Maurice Jones (18.1 ppg, 9.1 rpg). With five straight double-doubles to open the year, Jones is living up to the Preseason GNAC All-Conference selection. Along with Jones, the Nighthawks feature three more scorers averaging double-digits per game. Obi Megwa is second on the team at 18.0 ppg and fellow guard Jayden Bezzant is third at 13.9 ppg. Khalil Thompson completes the scoring trio outside at 11.1 ppg. The three guards and Jones combined for roughly 75 percent of the Nighthawks' offense, and 50 percent of their rebounding and assists. As a team, Northwest Nazarene is averaging 78.0 points per game and allowing 78.4 points per game. The Nighthawks record 37.7 rpg, 10.2 apg on 13.2 turnovers per game, with 6.9 steals per contest, and 2.3 blocks per game NNU is shooting 44.6 percent from the field, 34.3 percent beyond the arc, and 69.8 percent at the line.

Central Washington Preview – The Saints defeated the Yellowjackets in their first meeting, 80-75; meanwhile, CWU has improved to 15-10 overall and 10-8 in conference since then. CWU's offense revolves around the freshman Khalil Shabazz, who has averaged 15.3 points per game, 4.8 rebounds per game and 2.3 steals per game, which ranks 20th in the nation. Another threat on the perimeter for Central is senior Jawan Stepney (12.5 ppg, 3.8 apg), while shooting 45.8 percent from the field. Down low, Fuguan Niles, who is coming off a 12-point, 10-rebound, 10-block triple double, is a double-double threat at 9.8 ppg and a team leading 7.8 rpg, while shooting 59.6 percent from the field. Along with Sage Woodruff's 10.5 ppg, Shabazz, Stepney and Niles added up to roughly 60 percent of the Wildcats' scoring. The Wildcats as a team average 79.2 points per game, and allow 76.80 points per game. CWU records 37.9 rebounds per game, 15.0 assists per game on 13.4 turnovers per game with 6.8 steals per game, and 4.6 blocks per game. Central Washington is shooting 45.6 percent from the floor, 37.2 percent beyond the arc and 70.3 percent at the line.

GNAC Recap – With their win streak now touching 18 games, No. 4 Western Oregon remained first in the conference at 17-1 and received one first place vote in the national poll. Western Washington won both their games last week, improving to 15-3 while Saint Martin's swept Seattle Pacific and Montana State Billings, and is now sitting at 13-5. Central Washington and Seattle Pacific are still tied for fourth in the standings at 10-8 while Alaska Anchorage (10-9) opened up a one game lead for the final spot in the GNAC Championships. Northwest Nazarene still remains in GNAC contention with a 8-10. Alaska (8-11), Montana State Billings (5-13), Simon Fraser (4-14) and Concordia (0-18) round out the conference standings.
