ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Josh Schulz led the way for Saint Martin's at the GNAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, finishing second in the men's long jump and winning the men's triple jump.

In the men's long jump Schulz narrowly missed first place by 0.06m, finishing with a 7.23m (23-ft, 8.75-in). He used that finish as motivation as he won the men's triple jump with a distance of 14.34m (47-ft, 0.75-in).

Scott Carter had this to say about Schulz performance, "I couldn't be happier for Josh to finish his GNAC career winning the triple jump. Two years ago we decided to switch events and try the triple. He put so much work into his craft, he deserves everything he achieved this weekend!"
Andrew Schulz placed eighth in the men's long jump with a distance of 6.84m (22-ft, 5.25-in).
Cassidy Walchak-Sloan placed second in the women's 1500m with a time of 4:35.80 and finished fourth in the women's 800 with a time 2:15.52.
Andrew Boyd finish fifth in the men's 100m hurdles with a time of 14.98 and finished eighth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 56.88.
In the women's 5000m,
Naomi Hartley placed fifth with a time of 18:14.48
Sara Sabra finished sixth in the 10,000m with a time of 39:03.99.
Micah Au-Haupu placed sixth in men's discus throw with a mark of 39.42m (129-ft, 4-in) and placed fourth in men's shot put with a mark of 14.50m (47-ft, 7-in).
In men's hammer throw,
Josh Eiland placed fifth with a mark of 49.99m (164-ft).
Jocelyn Saribay placed sixth in women's shot put with a mark of 12.49m (40-ft, 11.75-in).
Michael Harwell placed eighth in the men's 3000 steeplechase.
In women's pole vault,
Claire Skaggs placed eighth after clearing 3.20m (10-ft, 6-in) on her final attempt.
This meet concludes the outdoor track season for SMU, Coach Carter reflected on the season with optimism and some encourage words, "This weekend was a great way to finish off the year. This team is young, and this weekend showed this team is building something special".
