The first women’s golf team to reach the NCAA West Regionals in 2008, the women’s golf team set records that still stand at the time of their inauguration. They finished third overall at the Regional, only two strokes away from advancing to the NCAA National Championships. Made up of five golfers, Amy Dalzell, Stacie Henden, Babe Prante, Lauren Roberts, and Alexi Coltom, their third place finish was the highest finish ever in school history. The women were also the first team in program history to achieve a national ranking, cracking into the top 25. They were also the first team in program history to win a tournament, taking the Notre Dame de Namur Invitational by 25 strokes. Their 293 round score, also remains the program’s lowest single round score.
