Saint Martins Athletics

In 1948 and 1949, John Schade of Saint Martin’s High School was named to the Central League All-Star football team and in 1949 was named to the All-Catholic Northwest team. He was also voted the team’s most inspirational winner by his teammates. Schade was twice named to the Central League All-Star basketball team and was an excellent catcher on the baseball team. An outstanding student and student leader, he was twice named president of his class. He was inducted into Saint Martin's Hall of Fame in 1995.
