Lacey McGladrey played for the Saints from 2011-2014. McGladrey ranks among the best in Saints’ softball history at the plate, placing fourth in batting average (.378), third in slugging percentage (.553), and second in on-base percentage (.461). She was the 2013 GNAC Player of the Year, 2011 GNAC Freshman of the Year, and is one of only seven players in GNAC history to earn first team All-Conference four times. McGladrey also received national recognition, earning three NFCA All-Region selections, including two 2013 All-American honors, and one D2CCA All-Region vote. Her 2013 season was one for the record books, playing in all 57 games, and led SMU to 41 wins, McGladrey was unstoppable at the plate. Hitting .397, with eight home runs, and 33 RBIs, she posted a team-high 1.078 OPS, and stole 18 of 19 bases on the year. She ended her career first in school history in runs scored (181), third in hits (244), and fourth in home runs (18), and doubles (57).
