In his brilliant athletic career at Saint Martin’s College, Frank Sinclair won 11 varsity letters – four in football, three in basketball, three in track and one in baseball. In 1941, he was an All-Conference selection at halfback and was the top punter in the conference. Named to the 1942 All-America team, he led the nation in punting and was voted the team’s Most Valuable Player. In 1942, he left college during the war and was an Army Air Corps fighter pilot. In spite of serious injuries sustained in a flying accident, he returned to play outstanding ball for the 1945 and 1946 squads. He was inducted into Saint Martin's Hall of Fame in 1991.
