Francis “Pop” Hagerty was an outstanding football, basketball and baseball player at Saint Martin’s College in 1931 and 1932. He went on to become a legendary sports official whose enthusiasm and dedication to fairness motivated thousands of athletes for more than four decades. Until his death in 1987, Pop touchded the lives of most high school and college athletes who completed in the Northwest. He was an official in football, basketball and baseball at the high school and college as well as pro levels. He was one of the area’s most respected officials. He was inducted into Saint Martin's Hall of Fame in 2000.
